This plaque, in Palisades Park-Santa Monica, CA, commemorates Will Rogers and his connection to Route 66. A movie company placed one of these plaques in each of Route 66's states in connection with their promotion of the movie The Will Rogers Story. This is the only one known to have survived. |

The Will Rogers Memorial in Claremore, OK, commands a terrific view from its hilltop location. A wonderful place to visit. The really broke the mold when they made Will Rogers. We've not seen the likes of him since. |

Winslow, Arizona has installed a neat little park and monument to mark the corner made famous by the Eagles in their song, 'Take It Easy.' ('Standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona . . . such a fine sight to see, etc.') |
