Polaris CEO to park his Harley.

W. Hall Wendel, Jr. CEO of Polaris Industries, plans to park his Harley this spring when Polaris, the world's leading snowmobile make, enters the motorcycle market with their cruiser, the Victory.

The Victory will join HD as the second U.S. headquartered mass production motorcycle manufacturer. The bike is said to sell for $13,000.00. Harley now controls about half of the heavy cruiser market, "cruiserweight." Observers feel that Polaris's strong dealer network for their personal water craft will make them a formidable competitor.

Jigsaw Puzzles Galore

The Puzzle Source near Lebanon, MO on Route 66 bills itself as having "The Largest Selection of Jigsaw Puzzles in The Missouri Ozarks." My guess is that they are without equal anywhere on Route 66. Nancy Ballhagen, says the toughest puzzle in the store is an abstract by Jackson Pollack. This is a must stop for jigsaw fans . . . they'll mail your purchase back home for you.

Good Guy to Have Behind You

Steve Chappell, from Green Bay Wisconsin is the one I want to have "sweeping up" after me. Steve works as a paramedic and has 20 years of experience riding motorcycles. He'll be doing The 4th Annual Mother Road Ride/Rally® two up with Mary Jo who is an emergency room tech and Emergency Medical Technician.

Hallmark Elected to Board

Hank Hallmark, a long time friend of The Mother Road Ride/Rally® has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Route 66 Museum in Victorville, CA. Hank made the first run and signed up again last year. That earns him the coveted "Repeat Offender" designation with the Rally. The Victorville Museum is right downtown in Victorville on the original Route 66. Hank's pictures of his Route 66 run are there and there are other interesting things for you to see.
